It may seem hard to believe, but the 2009 Christmas toy season is fast approaching. Which toys will make the hot toys for 2009 list? Right now, the U.S. retailers like Amazon and Toys-R-Us are still making their lists and apparently checking them twice. But a couple of the major U.K. retailers have already released their predictions. Will the U.S. toy lists for 2009 match? Only time will tell.
Two major retailers in the United Kingdom, Hamley's Toy Shop and Smyth's Toys, have already released their recommended Christmas toy lineup for this year.
Hamley's is promoting movie tie-ins, classic toys and "gee-whiz" technology. Here's their list:

Transformers Bumblebee Helmet – a voice altering Bumblebee role-play helmet based on the popular film franchise.

Barbie & the Three Musketeers Miette Kitten – Purring, pouncing, Miette is a playful interactive kitten.
Rubik’s 360 – The new generation of Rubik’s with a brand new, spherical challenge.
Bop It – The latest version of the ever popular Bop It!
Lego Minotaurus Game – a unique collection of games that you build, play and change, meaning no two games will ever be the same.
