President Obama is a baby boomer?

What a baby boomer? I always heard Boomer is a man who was born between 1946 and 1964. If President Obama was born in 1961, this would make him a member of the boomer generation. However I saw some press comments saying it was the first non-Boomer president. Have they changed the definition of Baby Boomer?
