beanie baby tag broken, can it be corrected?

I am not a collector over Beanie Baby, but I have fond memories of my father and I go to those beanie baby shows as a kid. I'm moving some beanie babies around today who were in containers plastic. they are over 7 years. Unfortunately, they lean to the side and the next thing I knew was that two of their tags off! I always were in the containers / never played with them / meme tag protectors put on but I never knew how fragile the red label linking to the beacon beanie baby was. I wondered if it was because of age. When I gently touched the broken tag, another piece broke. Should I wait for my other Beanie Babies do so because they are older and you think i can repair those Beanie Babies? I know I have not been careless with these Beanie Babies, but I just can not believe I am correct.

These labels are put on with a gun. I work for a department store and we use these guns placing tags on clothing. They sell guns on ebay. However, I do not know where to purchase colored red beards.
