How to clean a baby's bonnet?

I have a beanie baby monkey who was very well liked. His legs and beige feet, and sparkling white "beard" has become a little gray and dull. Usually I brush the dust on it with a lint brush, but I think it really is time for a deeper cleaning. What is the safest way to effectively clean a Beanie Baby toy (or similar stuffed animal)?

if made with beads in the gentle cycle of your washing machine with a few other items to protect. throw it straight into the dryer but beware it will dry quickly. if it is real beans you to dry clean
