The adorable dancing robot, My Keepon detects the rhythm from music you’re listening to and begins to dance to it. A squishy-bodied robot that looks like two tennis balls stacked on top of the other, My Keepon dances on a black, cylindrical base.

My Keepon has two, interactive settings: dance mode and touch mode.

When My Keepon is in Dance Mode, it listens any music that is playing through its built-in microphone on its nose. The beat detection technology (located in the base) then allows My Keepon to groove out to the music with its own dance moves. My Keepon will dance to fast music, slow music, and everything in between.

While dancing, My Keepon will pause every 10 seconds to listen to the music to make sure that the song hasn’t changed and that it is still on beat. After a few seconds pause, it will begin dancing again. My Keepon may need a break after several songs, so he will go to sleep on his own. You can also put him to sleep by pushing both the dance mode and touch mode buttons on the base of its stage at the same time.

Don’t want to turn the radio on? My Keepon will also dance to any beats you create by simply clapping your hands or snapping your fingers. You can also pat My Keepon on the head to adjust how fast or slow it dances.

In Touch Mode, My Keepon will respond to your touch. You can poke it, tickle it, tap it, or squeeze it and My Keepon will respond by interpreting the touch and moving or making interactive sounds. Its mood will also change based on the touch. Under the textured, yellow skin, My Keepon has invisible sensors that sense your touch.

My Keepon has its own non-verbal language that is fun to figure out. You will discover what annoys it or how to keep it content. My Keepon wants you to interact with it, so it will try to get your attention by making noise or moving.

My Keepon requires 8 AA batteries, or if sitting in one spot, it can be plugged in to an outlet. My Keepon is about 10 ½ inches tall and about 5 ¾ inches in diameter, and will make a fun dancing buddy.

Part of the payment of your My Keepon goes to support the Keepon Pro family of interactive research robots and to researchers and practitioners who are furthering the studies of autism therapy.
