How do I disable Lego Star Wars video game for PC?

We have the old cd-rom Lego Star Wars video game. While in the game, can not leaving the game. We push the ESC or TAB, and try to go on Dexter's Diner to get out, but Dexter's Diner is not one of the options when you push ESC or TAB. I just had to disconnect feeding leaving the game. What should I do?

I remember there was Wonky controls, I think you have to hit enter to open the menu and then exit through the menu. You can just ALT + TAB out and close it or CTRL + ALT + DEL and end the process as well.
