Spider Man Classics
A few months ago one of my friends sent me a text – "I'm so happy to be part of the Marvel / DC generation!" Technically, anyone with life during the 1960s and part of the Marvel / DC generation, but my friend had a point – in 1990, especially, the fans were introduced to all variety of characters comic of Saturday morning cartoons – and Iron Man is no exception.
The first Iron Man cartoon debuted twice before the 1990s – First in the 1966 series The Marvel superheroes and the second in a guest spot in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends,. Most people – my friend included – are familiar with its appearance in the 1990s. Iron Man had his own show in 1994 which ran for two seasons. Ironically, Iron Man shared the stage considerably, not only with the future of Jim Rhodes "War Machine's alter ego, but also with the Avengers spin-off of Force Works, which consisted of classical heroes like Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch. Iron Man arch-nemesis the Mandarin came to a similar group of supervillains prolific, including Blizzard, MODOK, Gray Gargoyle, Justin Hammer.
The upcoming Iron Man cartoon came during Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Spider-Man when partnered two machines of war and Iron Man against the likes of fan-favorite adversaries Venom and Carnage. Iron Man cartoons continue with the appearance in the series The Incredible Hulk animation, and a paper that does not speak in the caricature of the Fantastic Four.
The Iron Man cartoons have continued to the present day. Iron Man is presented in the Ultimates-based Avengers: United States Are highlighted, and its own direct-to-DVD animated Invincible Iron Man. Iron Man was also seen in the last Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Hero, and there is a second animated series Iron Man issue soon – if not already. Increased Tony Stark will also appear in the direct-to-DVD animated feature Next Avengers.
In many ways, the scattered appearance of the cartoons "Iron Man through several animated series through both stand-alone and announcements of results represents a broader strategy by Marvel Comics. One of the main charms of Marvel comes from the interactivity of its characters, all of which inhabit in the same fictional New York City. From Marvel Studios now owns the rights to their own film projects, we expect to see an appearance by Tony Stark in the next Incredible Hulk, opening the way to the big screen sometime Avengers 2011.
