STAR WARS Queen Amidala and Padmé??

This has always confused me. Queen Padme Amidala are two separate people? I see the name of the Queen as "Queen Padme Amidala." I thought Padme was the Queen's servant or something. If they are two different people, Natale Portmans role of both characters is very confusing if you ask me.

Queen Padme Amidala and in fact are the same person. The gown queen you see for most of the first half of the film is actually a decoy, and Padme is Queen. So if they see a murderer, who sees the decoy queen, he shoots … and the queen is still alive.
